Chris Baranov, FCCA - Principal

Chris has a real desire to help clients get the most from their businesses, advocating the benefits of a structured operational approach and a clear understanding of the unique performance indicators that enable owners to retain control and reach their goals.

When he's not at work, Chris enjoys the peace and quiet of the Lakeland fells and the mountains of Scotland, and spends most of the year yearning for his ski-ing holiday!

Liz Baranov - Practice Manager

With responsibilities for workflow scheduling, compliance monitoring and marketing for the firm, Liz works closely with Chris to ensure that the office works efficiently. Her background in database and process development has equipped her to develop our internal systems and ensure all clients receive a great service.

Away from Berkhamsted, Liz loves spending time in her garden, whether it be digging the borders and clearing the weeds, or enjoying a nice glass of Pimms!

Shaun Brownsmith, ACA - Business Manager & Audit Specialist

Having qualified with a 'Top 25' firm, Shaun uses his experience and thorough knowledge of technical matters to help our larger clients, for whom he is the day to day contact for all of their business affairs. A solid experience in quality processes derived from public practice as well as industry, Shaun is able to provide advice and support in a wide range of diverse situations.

Outside of work, Shaun is a keen football fan and Sunderland supporter.

Wendy Grimsdale - Small Business Specialist

Wendy ensures that our small business clients meet their many obligations in terms of compliance matters, from accounts and Corporation Tax to payroll, VAT and bookkeeping, whilst acting as a sounding board for our small business owners, offering advice and guidance on how to handle the numerous issues that arise.

Jenny Gotts - Tax Manager

Originally trained by HMRC, Jenny now spends her time reducing clients' personal tax liabilities and ensuring that they comply with the ever evolving raft of tax legislation.

Aaron Brandham, MAAT - Audit & Accounts Support

Working closely with both Shaun and Wendy, Aaron works with business clients of all sizes, as he continues towards his goal of qualification. Having achieved MAAT status, he has now set his sights on the ACCA qualification.

Janine Smith – Small Business Support

Janine supports Wendy to ensure that our small business clients meet their deadlines and receive the support they need to avoid getting tangled in red tape. This includes mainly accounts for small limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, and VAT returns, but also a variety of other tasks that crop up!

Sarah Bird – Bookkeeping

Amongst those of our clients who prefer to let someone else deal with their bookkeeping, Sarah is a legend! Handling their general bookkeeping, VAT returns and debt collection, Sarah gives them the confidence that everything is up to date, allowing them to concentrate on their business.
